He or she will ask you about the types of foods you eat, learn the foods you like and dislike, discuss your lifestyle, your schedule, and your goals. Your Dietician will share important information about your nutrition plan that applies to your goals and will then set up a follow up schedule for you.

Follow up appointments last about 30 minutes. At these appointments you and your Dietician will discuss your progress while making reachable changes over time to help you maintain your success and continue to improve. Follow up appointments might range from 2 weeks after your first visit to 6 months afterwards depending on your needs and goals.

For Medicare recipients, Medicare covers a set number of visits for medical nutrition therapy for individuals who’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, kidney disease, or if you have had a kidney transplant in the last 36 months. For Medicare, all you need is a physician’s referral. As long as you have a physician that you see, we can help you with this.
