Aquatic Exercise Class

Benefits of Aquatic Exercise Class

You can improve your fitness, mobility, and strength by joining a 45 minute aquatic exercise class in our heated salt water pool. With a maximal class size of 4 people, these classes are ideal for those who prefer a more intimate setting.

Low Impact

Water provides buoyancy, which reduces the impact on joints and bones. This makes our aquatic exercise class ideal for people with joint issues, arthritis, or those recovering from injuries, as it minimizes stress on the body.

Cardiovascular Fitness

Water offers natural resistance, requiring your muscles to work harder. This resistance enhances cardiovascular fitness, helping to improve heart and lung health.

Muscle Strengthening

Moving through water requires effort, which helps to build muscle strength. Water provides resistance in all directions, engaging multiple muscle groups simultaneously.

Increased Flexibility

The water's buoyancy enables a wider range of motion compared to land-based exercises. This can lead to improved flexibility and reduced stiffness.

Weight Management

An aquatic exercise class can burn a significant amount of calories due to the resistance of water. This can aid in weight management and fat loss.

Improved Balance and Coordination

The instability of the water challenges your balance and coordination, leading to improvements in these areas over time.

Reduced Overheating

Exercising in water helps regulate body temperature, reducing the risk of overheating during intense workouts.

Aquatic exercise is often used in physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. The low-impact nature of water allows individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries to rebuild strength and mobility.

Stress Relief

Water has a calming effect on the mind. Engaging in aquatic exercise can help reduce stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation.

All Fitness Levels

Aquatic exercise classes are suitable for people of all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. The intensity can be adjusted by varying the speed, resistance, and movement patterns.

Social Interaction

Participating in a group aquatic exercise class offers a social component that can enhance motivation and enjoyment.

My post-surgery arthritic foot limits my choice of exercise options. I have been taking the aquatic exercise class for a few months, and they are giving me the cardio, strength, and toning that I could not get before due to physical limitations. Kiara is exceptional in knowing exactly how hard to push me while still allowing me to enjoy the high of exercising again. A great workout that will get me 100% more mobile in no time. Highly recommend Kinetics.

I love Kinetic Physical Therapy. I am at that age where things are falling apart or hurting where I didnot know it could hurt. They have kept me from back surgery 10 years ago and my back does not hurt now!!! I go to the aquatic class weekly. Jill Davis was my physical therapist recently after knee surgery. Great job!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the aquatics exercise class. J love it because it gives me sense of personal attention with the smaller crowd and Kiara is easy to follow and very welcoming. I’m 9 months out from a second knee replacement along with severe osteoarthritis but I feel very comfortable in this class compared to another aquatics exercise class I observed at another location before I decided to try it. Thank you Kiara and Kinetics.
